My interest in recertification wained when I realised that I would have to answer questions on obsolete functionality ( db2, some composite app functionality ) because I was forced to go through the upgrade for each version including the .5 releases.
When IBM said no more support for 8.0x thy should have allowed people to upgrade to 8.5 directly.
When IBM said they were not longer supporting Domino 8.0.x ? Domino 8.0.x is fully supported, however, if you're planning to upgrade from 5, 6 or 7 - better go to the latest release.
Sorry, that was my point. As IBM were strongly encouraging people to skip past 8.02 they should have allowed certification upgrades directly to 8.5 from 7
